Overview

 

The following games were designed and produced by students in the Senior School (Yrs 6 and 7) as part of a unit titled Responsible Gambling. During this unit of work students produced brochures, presentations and board games on the theme of responsible gambling. Four groups of students produced games using Macronmedia Flash and these are presented below.

Context of the Unit

 

During this unit students investigated alternative forms of recreation instead of engaging in gambling. They investigated the issue of youth debt and how young people can be made aware of the pitfalls associated with easy credit. Students also socially investigated gambling and uncovered the positive and negative impacts on communities, families and individuals.


 

Game 1 - Samantha

 

The aim of the game is to have the most amount of money after going around the board 5 times.

The Reset button resets the game at the end or at any time.

There have to be 5 players. All players start with $200.

Have fun and no cheating.

Game 2 - Tiffany and Calynda

 

The aim of the game is to be the first to go around the board 3 times.

The red button resets the game at the end or at any time.

It is a game for 5 players.

Game 3 - Kyle and Ben

 

The aim of the game is to have the most amount of money at the end of the game. Everyone starts with $1500.

It is a game for 4 players.

The red button is NO and the green button is YES when answering questions.

Players can go around the board as many times as they want.
